Monthly Bookkeeping Service

What’s Included

  • Transaction categorization — Every transaction from your connected bank and credit card accounts is recorded and categorized correctly
  • Bank and credit card reconciliation — Your books are matched against your actual statements each month to catch errors or missing transactions
  • General ledger maintenance — Your chart of accounts stays organized and accurate as your business grows or changes
  • Monthly financial reports — You’ll receive a profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow report each month
  • Ongoing communication — Questions about a specific transaction or what a report means are always welcome as part of your monthly service

What’s Available Separately

  • Catching up backlogged or historical books — If your books aren’t already current, that falls under Cleanup & Catchup, done first before starting monthly service
  • In-depth training or consulting — Available separately if you want to learn to manage things yourself or need deeper guidance on your bookkeeping process
  • Payroll Processing — Running payroll accurately and on time, including tax withholdings and filings, so your team gets paid correctly and your business stays compliant.
  • Accounts Payable — Bill entry and payment processing so your vendors get paid on time, without you having to track due dates yourself. Minimum 10 bills per month.
  • Accounts Receivable — Creating and sending customer invoices, and tracking what’s been paid. Charged per invoice.
  • Sales Tax Filing — Preparing and filing your sales tax returns with the state(s) you’re registered in, on whatever schedule your sales volume requires: monthly, quarterly, or annual.
  • 1099 Contractor Filing — Tracking contractor payments throughout the year, collecting W-9s, and filing 1099-NECs at year-end. Separate from payroll, for businesses that pay independent contractors rather than employees.

What’s Not Included

  • Tax preparation and filing — I’ll keep your books tax-ready, but filing your actual tax return requires a CPA or tax preparer
  • Tax advice or strategy — For the same reason, tax planning questions go to a qualified tax professional
